Hey guys, whats up.

So, going back a quick 3 weeks, I had to write a paper on ethnocentrisms for an intro Anthropology class. I wrote it a little vaguely as intended, but used a couple of examples that involved gamers (not specific games or people, but just gamers in general). Scooting ahead to last week, this essay was apparently assigned to set us up to do our own mini Ethnography, or a study of culture. My professor kinda twisted what I said in my essay and told me to do this project on Elitist gamers, and the gaming culture.

So anyways, thought I would give you all a bit of warning (and possible permission later on to use your gamer tags, if you allow, in my final report) that when I'm on, or in chat, I'll be observing interactions between everyone and such.

You won't be the only ones I'll be tailing, I'm also looking back in my own gaming history, and looking at the Guild wars community and Runescape community. I'll be looking at the SPUF now and then, but since i'm not to familiar with it, I won't be "observing it" too much. I also ill be using my schools gaming club and active participation and observation.

Don't be worried by this or act any differently, or I will know >. I mean, comon, its me, I can't do anything 'round here

EDIT: and yes, I will be still posting updates for Rundown and possibly (if I can) my swamp/construction/abandoned themed contest map.

It was less me warning and more of a telling. I didn't want to be sneaky about it, and then later be like "Ohai gueyz. I've been liek. Stahlking yuus." when i put out this questionair. Also to see all of your responses.
