Hello, I'm gonna ask some questions in the same topic to save space hehe.

1. I just found a problem when you are choosing where to install your sentry gun, I noticed this problem yesterday in the map cp_castle too. The skybox gets a grid and a slight blue color.

Anyone knows why does this happen and how to prevent it? Or is it just me?

2. Every time I compile my map to test it, it loads correctly and everything (or so I think lol), I choose my team and class, and starting running just for like 5 secs, and then it closes the server, and the console says, Error: Client Timeout. Then I have to "create server" again, and never happens anymore, until next time.

Once again, anyone knows why does this happen and how to prevent it? :rolleyez:

3. How do you resize overlays without distorting it? I place it with the overlay tool, then select it, and the white dots appear, I make it longer and it distorts, how do you avoid this? I know it can be done because I've seen it in the valve maps, I'm just brain dead and can't figure it out. :wtc:

Thanks.

1. I'm pretty sure that's just the range for the SG. Try doing it one Red, you should find that the grid is redish.

2. I don't know what causes that, but the "cure" is simple. Check the "Don't run map after compiling." Then just run TF2 and create a server.

to make it not time out after compiling, put +sv_lan 1 in the additional game parameters before cimpiling

Or just don't let Hammer launch the game, and do it yourself.

For #3, don't use the overlay tool to resize it, just use the selection tool and resize like any other object.
