Assuming you placed the original sky_camera at (0 0 0), just make a little bit of the 3dsky floor before you shrink it. Then you can just extend the brushes instead of trying to line it up manually.

Whats with you guys and messing this up all the time?

You don't put the sky_camera at 0,0,0 you put the center of your map at 0,0,0. Then you put the sky_camera at the center of your skybox. The sky camera projects itself at 0,0,0 (only multiplied by the scale.)

So, if you have a gap First: Make sure the center of your map is at 0,0,0 and Second: Make sure your sky camera is at the center of your skybox.

You don't need the center of your map at 0 0 0. I don't know why you'd bother moving your entire map so it is.

You just need the skycamera at 0,0,0 in relative to your map.

As in, you put the skycamera at 0,0,0, copy it and your floor/any landmarking geometry, then scale it down. It will project the 3d skybox from 0,0,0.

Anyway, you seem to know how 3D skyboxes work to an extent. If its projecting your map, then you could a) have a leak. b) have two sky cameras.

Your skybox floor needs to be moved up and the sky_camera should only be in the skybox itself.

Yep, no more than 1 sky_camera should be in a map. The VDC has a nice tutorial for setting up 3D skyboxes but unfortunately I can't link to it ATM due to an internet filter. You might have followed it anyway. :)
