Say that again and I will come into your house and fornicate with your favourite kitchen appliance.

Who is losing in that situation? you make it seem like Zwiffle will be, but really i think you will...

the cry engine is one i've yet to see the glory of first hand. But quibbling over engines based on the games made in them is silly. All of the engines have roughly equal playing fields for story telling, its just which developer uses their tech wisely and uses it as a narative medium instead of an art gallery.

It's FREE?

Note to self. Buy. Crysis.

Source is starting to get old now. Most new games use the unreal or crytek engine.

Well, CryEngine3 can get away with this because everything is dynamically lit. Source has static (but nicer) lighting, which is why it takes >10 minutes to compile a decent sized map.

Still whats the point in this everybody knows and loves hammer :)
You mean, you'll have a bit of trouble adapting.
Besides, just because you might have trouble adapting to a 100% superior product, doesn't mean everyone will. Besides, the whole point of an overhaul is to make something BETTER. Including user-friendliness. And hammer sure could use an overhaul there.
