A value of 4 on the surfaces with light on them inside the tower, 8 on the roof, outside wall of the tower, and the lower cone like support. 16 on pretty much everything else. The map is 17MB with the custom materials packed in it and a mere 8MB bzipped.

The download size is around 15 MB cause I included both the bsp and the bz2 to help server operators.

Clearly I wasn't aiming for the utmost realism with the map.

We played this with a decent group of people (6-6, I believe?). It was loads of fun. I definitely think soldiers have an advantage on it, but I don't think there's anything you could do about that. I would like to see more detail along the outside edge of the crater instead of just a big wall... perhaps a cable car going up one side, some switchback steps, etc. Not functional things, but things that would add to the environment more.

This is TF2. A crater is the most logical place for a watchtower. :lol:

That looks FANTASTIC, athough a few of the mountains around the edge look a little weird seeing as they're all the same texture, why not use some of the custom rock props there?

I've been messing around with hammer since the leak days but I'd mostly just make test levels and fun levels but nothing of quality.

The map was originally going to be a colosseum with a bunch of obsticals in the middle with a cap point but after some insightful suggestions it turned into this.

The same reason someone would build two identical-except-for-color bases in opposite ends of a box canyon, in the middle of nowhere.
