But this is an octagram....
A pentagram has 5 points....
:(
(Still love it)

(I see what you did there, @Exactol)
I don't even know what I did

These look incredible! You should make an "idle" particle where team colored flames circle the rim of the control point. That would be the icing on the cake for me.
I can't make a idle version because the oscillating vector operator is weirdly implemented where its position is calculated by frame. This means the pentagrams will slowly slip away into the sky or into the ground.

Hmm... Maybe instead of the particles orbiting the point, they have a scrolling texture? To simulate that it is rotating. Probably wouldn't look that good. Ignore me!

A stationary particle would be cool, at least.

The particles can rotate fine, its the up and down motion that's preventing it from working. I could make a version that just sat there and rotated, but it would be pretty boring imo.

What if you parent the info_particle_system to func_tracktrain that moves up and down making it look like its floating or would that just fuck the whole thing up?

Is the up/down motion what controls, for example, emitting fire upwards? Or would that just be a side affect of moving the origin? I was picturing something like this-

DBtZEB2.png

The blue arrow on the bottom is the rotational force. The origin points of the fire rests here. The blue arrows above are the flames emitting upwards and giving the appearance that the fire is being dragged by its origin below, since it is moving. I hope you get what I mean by this horrible drawing!

Oh, I misunderstood you, I was talking about the pentagram oscillating. The fire is just a 2d sprite, so it can't go upwards.

That's probably a pretty good idea
