I just want to know if anyone thinks these are funny, or if they're just stupid and would be a waste of time to put in a map.

I'd like to begin by once again thanking everyone on this site for helping me when I had questions about map making. After almost two years, my first map, a payload map, is in alpha stage and I hope to post it sometime tomorrow. In the mean time, I'd like to share with the site some posters I made for the map. I realize they look terrible and I am working to rectify this. I just want to know if anyone thinks these are funny, since I made them to give BLU team something to look at while getting ready in their spawn. I'm still following the VTF tutorial on this site, and then I'm going to try and learn pakrat, so it may be a while before anyone sees these in the map itself. Without further ado, here are the aforementioned posters.

These next two I wrote before the 2013 Halloween Update, and was shocked to learn that the Mann Brothers were every bit as obsessed with gravel as I thought they were.

This last one is reflective of a dark time in my life. At one point, I worked at a Walmart. One of the first things they do during orientation is sit you down to watch a video explaining the company's relatively new logo, the spark, which is supposed to be "representative of the dreams, aspirations, and creativity of all of our Walmart associates (I think we're called associates because the term "employee" sounds negative.)" The video itself is very Disney-esque in the sense that it tries to make something magical out of something that clearly isn't, and its only a little under a minute long. After fading in to images of Sam Walton and the company logo, and having what looked like pixie dust envelope the screen each time, peaceful music plays and a non threatening female voice asks, "What's your spark? A spark is that special moment of inspiration that can come to anyone. Sam Walton had a spark when he decided to create a chain of stores selling almost everything at an affordable price. Today, Walmart is the world's largest retailer, providing excellent deals to customers all over the world. And it's all thanks to that one spark. Do you have a special spark? Let us know, because if we all share ideas, we can make our Walmart family even better." I should probably point out that I have never been given information on how or when to share my ideas. So, I made this instead:

I was working once on a payload cart replacement (got stuck while failing over and over to uv unwrap the model), and I made a poster for it as a reference that I thought looked pretty cool.

Making interesting BLU spawns in a/d maps is really important. Giving BLU some things to explore or look at, is a great idea, otherwise they'll get bored and pass the time conga-ing about in their spawn. There are a lot of really interesting examples for things to explore or look at at existing maps (swiftwater, thundermountain, goldrush, moonlit and more).
I think, however, that the posters don't look tf2-ish enough. IMO give them a different font (maybe Arial?) and make the yellow color in the first one less bright. (you can use the tf2 color pallete)

p.s There's nothing to learn about pakrat. It's really simple.
