You'll notice that by offering a service that literally every mapper wants, you are now in the prestigious position of having more likes than posts. May the majority envy you.

I would reccomend going to the Request area and seeing if there are any prop threads that take your fancy. People don't frequent it that often, so you may want to PM the mapper if you start doing a prop to let them know.

In all seriousness it's actually kinda sad to see few maps being detailed. It'd be nice if instead of people dropping off old maps in favour of new ones - they were to detail it.

But I'm not one to tell others how to do it, and I don't even myself.

However, back on topic, despite there being a lack of detailed maps I'm sure you'll find people in need of small models and stuff still (it's probably a handy idea to hang around the chat, most of the people who finish/detail their maps are in there and if they need anything like that they'll probably say something there first)

On an unrelated note, is there any commonly requested prop that I could maybe get started with. Hesitant to jump right into requests as I've been busy with school and work lately.

Off the top of my head, generic things like windows (the kind that fit into walls [props_2fort/window004b and etc] that affect gameplay), animated doors, stairs, and basically stuff like that.

I've not seen many model requests though, so those are just things that could be easily fit into any/most maps.

Find a mapper whose map you really like, that's currently being detailed or about to be detailed and work with them on a ton of props for it.

The 2skills4me contest is going on right now so there are a fair few people working on that rather than other stuff. But there are still people working on their own maps now. Though if you wait until 2skills4me is over, I'd bet several of those maps will be at just the point where a few extra unique props could push them from being "pretty good" to "fucking rad" visually.

Alternatively, find someone whose maps you like and be all "Halloween map? wink, wink; nudge, nudge" (replace Halloween with any upcoming event you care for)
