Links, jerkwad. I'll have you know I am booked solid until October and thus have no time to Google.

sweet thanked

also for the record they don't have to be mods, per se, I'm looking for decent map packs as well

Research and Development is good, but nowhere near the fun I had with a multiplayer mod of the same name in HL1...

Just finished RnD, most fun I've had in a while. I strongly recommend it.

Since you listed Dear Esther pre-release, I'm going to have to tag on No More Room in Hell. It's been in development for yeeeaaars, but it's closer now than ever.

EDIT: Oh, nvm. Dear Esther IS out. I'll have to try it sometime. Still, I thought NMRiH should be mentioned.

I'm specifically looking for stuff in the vein of HL2, not just sourcemods.

I didn't really like portal prelude, it was too much precision-clicking and not enough brain-scratching.

Man, i thought portal prelude had a ton of brain-scratching? I must just be thick.

I can STRONGLY recommend synergy. Rock 24 or whatever is good, but if you care for your ears you will turn the sound to zero as soon as you meet the only female character with new lines. The foor woman is obviously a put-upon girlfreind, sulkily muttering lines into a mobile phone's voice recorder.

I'm not saying the puzzles weren't there, I just would have preferred less aiming in a portal game. So maybe it is me that is bad.

I just finished Blue Shift on super hard mode.
Took less than 1 hour. - awesome game though, really enjoyed it! :D
