Past 72hr Jam Entry Snowstorm Particle 2022/07/24
snow go sideway and down

Nothing incredibly fancy or complex, just me experimenting with making a custom snowstorm effect. Specifically, I really wanted to make the snowflakes look natural in movement, using trail particles that appear as long, blurred lines (to crudely mimic motion blur) instead of the more common method of using simple, circular sprites. I also used a combination of several position-oscillating particle operators to make the snowflakes' movement partly synchronized, emulating gusts of wind.
Ultimately, I consider this effect a proof-of-concept more than a final product. I don't think it's realistically ready for use in an actual map without at least some changes/refinement.
Map used for demonstration is Stark, by YM.
