Getting this out of the way first- I *really* love Paris. It is such a fun map. I've really warmed up to this map since the dark days of, well, Dark Marsh. (We don't talk about Dark Marsh) I feel like the layout is really creative and it makes pretty good use of its environment to form fun gameplay spaces. The aesthetics of the map are an absolute gem and deserve really high praise. ...This all falls away when we reach the third point though. The 3rd point is ALWAYS either an insanely tough choke hellscape or literally the easiest point in TF2, depending on teams. I've never seen a single dynamic round on 3rd. That being said, I do feel like the detailing of third is at least somewhat admirable; It has a lot of cool touches. In comparison to first and second though, it's definitely a lackluster part of the map. Overall, I give this map a 7/10. I personally LOVE the map, but it definitely has its shortcomings that cannot and should not be ignored.
Sweet map where 2/3 points are outdoors with lots of strong offensive and defense highground spots to control. Lots of opportunities for each class to find their spot here thanks to multiple close, medium, and long range areas. Also looks great, really captures its own European look from the leafless trees, to the roofs and architecture.
