When will the war update be "officially over?"

Cause I noticed that my opening GUI on TF2 still has the war update background, and links to the TF2 blog even though WAR is over in all technicalities.

Any clues as to when our GUI and background will go back to normal?

I think there is some way to remove it but I forgot how. :/

But you shouldn't have to.
I think Valve are just being slow on the uptake about it. They'll realise sooner or later and fix the GUI.
