What the hell is it about? Why is it an update?

Let me explain:

Proudly coming from the depths of FP's TF2 Emporium is the Medieval update!


'But what makes it so fine and dandy?'
Well excluding the fact that me and NeoDement are running the show it's the fact that YOU LOT get to have your OWN MODS STAR IN IT! and the fact it isn't even done!
That's right! You submit your models/maps/kitchen sinks to us by the deadline and you too can have your dreams come true and have your mod on an update page!

'But what do I need to do, my finely dressed pastry?'
Well it's all in the title, is it not?
You have until the deadline to make a mod that is Ye Olde Themeth'd, more commonly known as 'Medieval' themed!
The main aim is on weapons, but that does not stop you from making a hat or two and even some map props!

'I still know nothing about this, what are you on about?'
Well as much as I'd like to spray my toe & knee flavoured saliva everywhere, I'd much rather let the website do the talking.

Interesting, but not an "event" as we usually run them on this site. Moved to "Team Fotress 2 Talk".


EDIT: Also, try to keep it civil. You may not like the idea but then again it's just for fun. To me it sounds like an opportunity for some exposure for models and modelers. No need to get into a fight about it, not on this site at least.

Yeah, because it really angers me that someone might actually prefer to use a weapon skin that nobody else can even see and isn't forced on me at all. Heh, I'm such a rebel. Have fun and count me out too, DORKS.

I actually have ideas of medieval stuff to make but I would rather package it myself and send it to the contribute site because it wouldn't fit the guidelines of replacing existing weapons. I also think it would be cool to make my own update page and promote it myself so I can control every aspect of it (no offense). I may send it but I may not I'll have to think about this.
