tc maps?

is it possible to currently make total control maps or do we have to wait for the new sdk?

I do think it's possible to create tc_ maps but it seems harder to make them so I guess that's the reason we haven't see any tc_ customs yet.

i dont think it is or its just a complicated set of triggers but idk maybe someone here should look at hydro and try to figure it out. im sure the new sdk will let you do it

Funny you should mention that. My current map, is in fact tc, but not in the traditional sense. For mine, I'm making all of the control points blank and never locking. So a point can be captured at any time by either team. I'm sure will see maps similar to tc_hydro once the sdk is updated.

well the thing thats fun about hydro is that the fighting is only in the 1 particular place, whereas in your map people will be free to go to whatever point they want to. yours should make for some interesting games with a full server.

an another topic, ive been hard at work trying to figure out how to use hammer and i think i'm starting to get it, i just don't know what entities to use

im startin to get the hang of it.

i really am starting to get a hang of this, thanks for that site. im probably gona get to work on my map idea soon. my map idea is a cp map called cp_caverns. it will be in some caverns and it will be about 2/3rds the size of cp_well. there will be 2 symmetrical sides for red and blue, each with the spawn on one end, a cp in the middle of the hallway, and at the end of the hallway an entrance into the main arena, which will have 2 cps in it. the cps by the spawns will be locked unless the middle cps are held by one side.
