when I try to open the map, it just completely goes blank. I've closed and opened the editor, and I've restarted my computer to no avail. is there anything that could solve this?

Solution
You have stored your VMF in the CSGO directory. That's why it says that in the titlebar. You should store your maps somewhere like My Documents/mapping so they do not get mixed up with game files.

Why your map is not rendering is not obvious, so I will suggest two things:

1. Try to unhude everything by pressing U/

2. In the VisGroups panel in the top0right, click the Auto tab and make sure all the visgroups are enabled.

Aside from that, your VMF is only about 1MB suggesting it's either a small map or it has become corrupt. If it should be larger, then check the .vmx file in the same directory, and your Hammer autosaves.

Upload the VMF here if nothing works.
