Modular Gorge handrails

Hey, could anyone split up the gorge_handrails2.mdl model up in to little bits that can be placed as can a fence? Thanks in advance!

Or, could someone tell me how to do this?
I might want it with other railings, but I dont want to bother anyone more. I have 3ds max, and am experienced in Autodesk Inventor, so I know my way around.

Just open the smd file inside of 3ds (this might need an importer but I'm not sure) then edit and export it. Then follow the rest of the tut to completion.

Thanks, I found it and did it, only to realize that the tranyard/handrail/216 has a skin that looks like the Gorge rail. Good practice, though!
