Minutilla - Minute to Kill returns, featuring areas that lock as the round goes on!

An MTK map where areas close off, forcing players to fight and discouraging camping. My first map in two years so it may not be the most excellent thing out there.

About MTK
MTK means Minute to Kill. It's arena - with a timer! The team with more people left in the end wins the round. MTK was originally developed in January 2015 by me and had to be remade in 2018. It's fine, I guess.

  • Redid the gamemode logic (again)! If it doesn't work... I will blame the server and cry :)
  • Made the lower area more interesting, with an added death pit, HP pack, and cool geometry.
  • Added a super awesome jump pad.
  • Added arrows on the floor to point you out of the way of closing gates.
  • And a few minor changes.

  • Adjusted A/B Ceiling Connector
  • Fixed death pits having pushforce
  • Changed HP kit at A to medium to entice players
  • Made deathpit at B inaccesible, raised B platform to make it flush with the floor
  • Made cap times slightly longer

  • Rotated spawnrooms, hopefully to balance out the number of players going to each point.
  • Added an anti-stalemate mechanic, shortening the length of cap times if no points are capped in 45 seconds.

  • Redid spawns to be on-grid and have cleaner geometry, hopefully all spawn points will function now!

  • Redid geometry at B, now it's circular
  • Adjusted lighting at B
  • Added pickup patches instead of lazy brushes
  • Melted the snow outside (I finally saw how ugly the texture was with bump maps)
  • Did some minor detailing work
My first map to reach A10 after only seven years of mapping, wow!! Young Norfolk was not very committed.

  • FULLY ARTPASSED MAP!
  • Optimization!
  • Changed stalemate-breaking option to increase player's capture rates by one, rather than adjusting the point's cap times
  • Made some slight adjustments to ramps, adjusting slopes and replacing some with stairs
  • Various other minor changes one would expect with a b1
