OK, so ever since the achievement_turbo maps with their pyro house and open areas being used for nearly everything but achievement farming I've had an idea for a similar open ended map.
This map would consist of multiple (3-5) control points scattered across a landscape of different terrain. Control of a point would allow a team to teleport to and from their spawn room to the territory in their control. Spawns for each team would be on opposite sides of a map to avoid excessive spawn camping.
The map would have no goal which would end the map leaving it for an open game of warfare and travel. It would also have areas which lacked a control point allowing for players not interested in territory control and who want to go off on the side to enjoy themselves or fight in smaller less demanding battles (these would be areas like forests or spires which didn't have a base tied to the area)
Overall it would be a map for hanging out along with casual battling.
If anyone is interested in the idea and is even decent at mapping please either post here or contact me through steam: amp16
Lastly if anyone feels i left anything unclear or has input please ask or speak your mind where it applies
