hello good people of tf2maps I am very very new to hammer and i want to make my first brush but it wont appear what do i do?

Click on the top left of your 3D view where it says 'camera' (top left window) and select '3D Textured' or something similar instead of '3D Wireframe'

Also you can minimize that "Message" window on the bottom and drag all those tools windows on the right side of the screen into one column to make more space.

You can also maximize the main inner window, preventing the Message window from ever taking up space again.
