Hammer not launching tf2 on compile. Solved

Hi, i am a very new mapmaker, and to tf2 in general, i am following a tutorial on youtube by UEAKCrash about making your first map. i have installed ABS mapping pack and made my first box with one spawn and no skybox, as the tutorial has instructed, however when i go to compile the map it does not launch tf2. i am very new to mapping so if you could simplify any responses it would be appreciated.
