Got back last night from a 3 day lan party

And it was awesome. I go back to school on Monday (suck ) and wanted to end my winter break properly. In no particular order; Alpha Centauri, Postal 2, TF2, CSS, Serious Sam The Second Encounter, StarCraft Brood War. Plus a variety of card and console games. Though the last day was just myself and 2 friends, we had fun. For example; rabidly enforcing the 'no barfing and/or being on fire in public' law in Postal 2 Though it feels good to be home again, now all I can think about is prepping for school. Anyways, do you guys have any fun lan stories?

Sure, I could throw one in here. At a lan party I was at, the lights went out after most of the people had arrived, thanks to an intense wind, and we ended up playing board games for four hours (well, not literally, but we were just sitting around, trying our best to come up with something to do), and most of us slept through the rest. It was both really annoying to not be able to use our computers, and hilarious at the same time.

Eh, nothing too crazy, never done a multi-day LAN party, but ours tend to follow a nice Bell curve. My cousin and I organize most of the LAN parties I end up going to, so here is how it goes:

• My cousin and I show up around 2:00 pm, set up the tables, set up the networking equipment (we got a corporate 48 port switch off ebay).
• We play random network games until people start to show up (ussually around 5-6 pm)
• By about 9:00 pm we will have 10-12 people there.
• By 1:00 am we will have 7 or 8
• By 6:00 am we have 5-6
• At about 8:00 am the next day its just my cousin and I again, and we pretty much just crash were we are sitting, heh.

Well, the only thing I can think of was at the last one I went to, where 8 or 9 computers broke a circuit, leaving us with no power in that room. However the person with the car battery and my "Laptop Of Doom™" survived until we got the power working again.
