Glitch or a hacker?

Ok, So here's what I want to know.

Recently, All of my items (Both pages, including 6 hats and like 30 items) have been being deleted slowly. I"m down to practically nothing, just my eyelander, DH, Equalizer and some Scrap Metal. Regardless, It's all disappearing. Some goes away during the night, some goes away even while I'm playing. I tried contacting Robin; No response. Tried contacting Steam Support; No response. So I figured I would come here and ask you (nice) folks at TF2maps if you new what the heck is going on.

Have you ever idled? Even if it was on acheivment_idle or something, maybe Valve are taking note of people on that map and deleting soem items from them. It seems to be happening to a lot of people recently, except me...yet

i do not idle, i never have idled.

I idled once. What I did was I went as engi, glitched into the enemy spawnroom with my teelporter, then set up a sentry right next to where everyone spawned, and ran at them trying to wrench them before my sentry killed them.

Eventually I got bored though, so I teleported them outside the map and left.

I think if Valve were to delete items, they'd do them all at once, and notify the user. I don't know anyone who's having this problem but it sounds like a glitch. Either way as long as you're actually using TF2 to idle rather than idling externally, they're okay with it.

Though I've once, for a moment, lost all my items. I then joined a game and there they were again. I'd say if you end up losing all of them, join a sever. There's a chance you may reconnect to the item servers and they'll get restored.

That happens when the server you connect to has lost its connection to Steam Cloud (usually because the Steam servers have gone down again!). Oddly enough, you can still get drops during this time, and when the connection to steam cloud comes back you will have the old items and the newly dropped items occupying the same slots in your backpack, so you'll have to drag them both to different slots to sort out the overlap.

I can think of two reasons:
1. You are crafting and you forgot that you crafted so many items
2. If a friend of yours is playing with your acount sometimes, then he could delete some of the things
(you should try to change your password)

1. If I'm crafting, why do I only have the SAME amount of metal as when this BEGAN happening?
2. Nope. When I'm done playing I sign off of steam, plus I change my password everyday.

Whats the point of changing your pass everyday? I've had the same pass for Steam for ~ 2 years without a problem, if you're not stupid and your computer is moderately protected you should be fine.

this is one of those things where instead of talking about it on a forum(which won't help at all) you should e-mail valve.

whether it is a glitch or a hacker, they can probably tell you and are the only ones who can actually do something about either of these situations.

Maybe you got them incorrectly? I don't know but valve do that stuff alot.

Do you have a sibling with easy access to your computer?D) Can you still use the weapons that don't appear in your back pack?

Try organising the backpack via the drop down list.

@lamelikemike: E-mailed Robin 2 weeks ago, Steam Support a week and a half ago, with neither giving me a response.

@midget: I do it for sentimental reasons. I do it everywhere.

@gamemaster: I don't idle, use the program or anything like that.

@Randdalf: No siblings, tried arranging, and no.
