Well it's been quite some time now that we are testing map from TF2maps.
Since people are offering server, be aware that we'll be happy to host a game for testing your map. This is our actual Mapcycle mostly inspired by tf2maps.net and our home mapping crew : (it's basically the same on our 2 custom map servers)

You may remarks that there's not a lot a CTF in our mapcycle, our players got a clear preference for CP & PL maps since we feels those are more teamplay focused than CTF. But we are of course always open for a CTF test.

Those are host directly by gandi.net one of the biggest french hosting company located in Paris, and have pretty good ping. Either way, if you want to participate to your map test run it's possible to give you a reserved slot (as i did with andyss, mapper of gydan).

We also offer daily updated stats about the map we are testing thru our psychostats. Heatmaps are created & updated as soon as we can, and available for most map (we are keeping the previous heatmaps in order to compare the evolution of the maps (it's difficult to keep up to date with you mappers release frenzy those day

Should be some, we try the map tonight (no offense team won), but i'm not sure there will be a lots of data, depending if the map was played on both server. Anyway, tomorrow is a rest day at work, i should be able to do the missing heatmaps including repository.

BTW Acegikmo, i've tried to contact you on steam for quite a long time (a2 feedback in fact), and message seems not to go thru.

That's odd; I'll try adding you again on steam.

Also, I tested b2 now; it seems like the one way door in the building is now a 0-way door :(

Yours is one of the most useful sources of raw data. It's great to be able to view a map's updated heatmap as well as win percentage per teams, the more yall play frontier, the better I feel about the win split. Thanks for the continued feedback :)

This is very true, psychostats is an incredibly useful thing :thumbup1:

One thing thats always interesting me is that there are often differences in win/loss ratio on different servers, often by several percent

According to the stats; 90% of the rounds are won by red in pl_repository_b3.
Where does blue stop progressing?
How close were they to make it to the next control point?

I think the real blocking area is around the last turn it's pretty hard since 2 sentry cover everything and spy can't go thru easily if a heavy or a demo who stay near the dispenser is spamming.

I've changed the spawntimes for cap 3 and added a one-way gate to prevent red from flanking blue too easily. :)

We have test the previous version, i'll make a playtest tonight if no problem are detected it will enter the mapcycle. :)

I'm thinking my map may be too early in development to be hosted on this server. I understand if it is, judged by the general completeness of the other maps. Still, it's up to you - feel free to host Vulture if you'd like, or if not, I'll probably contact you when it's more complete.

Since the server are almost 24/7 full, it's true that i don't put dev texture map, but we will test it, as we did for every alpha of frontier for instance, to give you a heatmap if you wish.

I hope to release a Dev textured version of an custom Arena gamemode map (arena_twinpeak) next week, you can also test that one?

And I hope to release another version of pl_deepwater soon, but its still 80% dev textures. (that's why I didn't enter the contest) That needs some testing :)

This because I'm really interested in getting heatmaps for balancing :)
