Data CD program problem

On a disk in my E: Drive I have a copy of xsi mod tool 7.5 which my friend downloaded and put on a disk for me the thing is after running for a bit it'll get stuck on Reading the contents of package on the install sheild wizard and it wont let me copy it to another location either. Why is this?

• Something with your CD drive
• Writing was not successful

There can be thiiiiis many reasons why it's not working. Does it give you a specific error?

My friend probably burnt it using windows then.
