custom texture is working but...

My custom textures are working but in hammer they show a purple black checkers..
Ingame they look fine some one any idea whats wrong?
I use the photoshop plugin.

Admitedlly custom textures are not my forte, but I've never heard of them showing up in game while looking goofy in Hammer. Does it have something to do w/ the type of image that was converted?

did you put it in the right directory? If its in the right material or decal place, it should come up & look fine in hammer.

stupid me i did not changed the directory right...
it was in materials/materials/ and i had materials/
