Copy & Paste between maps

Hi, I was wondering if any one of you guys know how this works.. I know I was able to do this before, but now when I try to do it, it seems they have their own "clipboard" cache per instance..

IE ? I'm not sure i know what you mean.

CRTL+C, CRTL+V works fine. If you want to select everything on a larger scale *ie red side/blue side* build one side, then "EDIT>SELECT ALL" CRTL+C, then CRTL+V then CRTL+M and change the Z axis to 180.

This will flip sides.

Yeah, ctrl+c and ctrl+v is what's not working.. I get what I had copied in the other instance of hammer, if you understand, as if they didn't share the clipboard... It just stopped working for me

This is what i am trying to do:


I am trying to copy a door I made on another map
I switch to it and ctrl+c
Then switch back no my new map and press ctrl+v
But what's pasted is not the thing I just copied in the other instance of hammer, but something else I copied a while back in this instance.

Do you actually have two hammer programs running or are there two maps open in one program? If the former, try the latter which really should work, can't explain it if it doesnt.

Just make what you want to copy over a prefab if you intend to use it often

Yes, I had 2 seperate hammer instances, didn't realize that you could open several maps in one instance (altough I had done this before XD)
