First of all I can not ignore this as suggested in other posts as the map does not even load ;-;

I was following the mapping tutorial made by UEAKCrash, I only got to chapter 1 episode 3 and I am already failing :) !!!!!!
When you try compile it shows a few error and then opens the game which just crashes.
Yes I saw the post with the interlopers.net compile error check post, I tried it and got:

can't load skybox file skybox/sky_tf2_04 to build the default cubemap!

I never used referenced a sky box file in the map so I assume it is default, so if all the error needs is to get the file, does anybody know where I need to get it from so I can continue (failing) at learning hammer

Here is the compile log: -just in case-

fyi i'm pretty inexperienced so take my advice with a grain of salt (compared to others here)

the map should load with that error (every map ive made has that error ) & the interloper.net entry for it agrees with this.
so something else is probably wrong & i dont see anything in the log. so here something that i sometimes mess up on:
*file-->runmap-->(make sure the "dont run the game after compiling" box is NOT checked)
*if you have steam set to not run on boot, you need to either open steam or tf2 before you try running a map sense for some reason tf2 wont run without steam having been launched.
*if neither of those work maybe post the map file and ill try to take a look.

For me steam is set to boot and I unchecked the run game after compiling but even though it did move the map into the map folder of the game, It just doesn`t show up as a map in the map selection of create a server. I don`t see any issues with my map file so I think it might just be the game which I will reinstall if advised.

When I manually put the map file in the game tf directory and booted it up it crashed and delete the map file from the directory with console spamming about some sort of particle before the crash

so good news: when i download the map and put it into a folder on my desktop im able to run it just fine through hammer ++. so your map works
bad news: that makes trouble shooting it much harder. I dont think this should be an issue but are you sure your using a version of hammer++ (or hammer) thats meant to work with the 64 bit version of tf2? also you should not have to manually move the files around if you are launching things from hammer

also more than likely the particle errors are like the skybox error and are not that important (but assumptions make and ass out of you and me so if we run out of ideas we'll come back to that).

I mean the hammer ++ install I got recently and it did go into the x64 folder (hammer++ directory is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\bin\x64\hammerplusplus.exe")

And If I open the vmf in normal hammer it still does the same ;-;

Solved: Masterconfig very low somehow screwed up the game opening map part but now it works fine after I just changed to medium low, no clue how that happened.
Just to say that playing on very low mastercomfig breaks a lot of different things so I would recommend not using at all costs if you can like she says on the website. But I agree, source is crazy like spycrab said lmao
