Here's my late submission to the 72 hour jam. I asked for and got permission to start and end my 72 hours a day later than others. Unfortunately for me I had some life BS pop up that ate most of my time for this year. Originally had a map, but I didn't even have enough time after the smoke...
I made pixel art based on one of my favourite maps, Freight.
Usually I make a cosmetic for the Jam but I wasn't feeling it and I don't want it to be forced, so I decided to make pixel art!
Sadly It's unfinished due to real life and time constrain on my end so it'll be done after the Jam, you...
A pixel art redraw of Scouts hints portrait. Including the black frame, it is 64x64 pixels, upscaled to 264x264. If it was upscaled to 128x128, it would have the dimensions of character portraits from Stardew Valley.
I didn't had much time this year, but I really wanted to participate. This...

Pixel art is one of my passions since I was a little kid.
You can also open it in PAINT for the full size!

I recently started experimenting with making and turning 3d models into animated pixel art, will try to update as I make more! I mainly just model my loadouts in blender then exporting to blockbench to edit some more and change up the textures a bit and do the pixelation and animation there...

Inspired by those funny ice-cream character heads that look nothing like what's in the plastic cover.
Loadout for Demo was created on loadout.tf. I then traced some portions of the model pixel-by-pixel and even improvised some sections. Not too hard to pull off but takes a while and looks nice.
After Bowser crashed the party that Peach was holding in her castle (and the sandvich buffet that was within it), the Heavy, now hungry for both his favorite meal and an actual fight, now challenges the King of the Koopas himself, in an attempt to eventually satiate his hunger for ham-fisted...

Pixel Art of the Pyro from the hit game Team Fortress 2, released by the small indie company Valve in 2007 via The Orange Box, alongside Portal, Half-Life 2 and its Episodes.

As always, had a super fun time with this and can't wait for next jam! :)
