How do you make custom viewmodel animations for workshop weapons, override the inganme ones?

This isn't really related to mapping in anyway (hence why its in off-topic), but I couldn't get an answer from facepunch. Anyway, I'm making a weapon for the Frontline project, and because of the design of the gun, it needs to have custom animations. I have already made these animations and they are in .smd format, however I am lost as to how I would make them override the default animations (it replaces the smg).

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

That would be what you do when creating a custom animation for a weapon already ingame, I'm making animations for a workshop weapon.
