updated mvm_sewer_invasion_event to use the halloween items and monsters.

Hi s0da72. Thank you for making the eulif pop files for our server. I believe that I have met you on our servers a few times. I know you know the other admin BEMHO.

I got both your regular and your event map on our server and they are played nightly. Everyone loves the spell books. You have the most requested map on our server. I hope you can come around more often. If you have any other mvm or CP maps then please give me links and I will make sure to get them on the server

Map looks like a lot of fun from the video. Spells and halloween stuff just make everything more fun. It seems a tad dark and maybe a bit ugly though. I could see it maybe going official if valve is up to it.

Thank you for hosting the maps. If you have any other pop files that you would like to have added let me know. I think the more pop file selection a MvM map has the better.

Love the you tube video, I notice some of the textures are different than what I see on my PC. I guess it still needs some work.

Can you tell me where you got that pop file editor you was posting a picture of in an early post?

It's a program I started working on, but did not finish. It lets you see stats for a pop file like money per wave, number of bots per wave, tanks, and number of wave spawns etc. It also lets you see the bot template definitions so you don't have to jump between different files. The down side is that it doesn't let you edit any of the pop files data. I didn't finish that part, it was just easier for me to edit things in notepad so I didn't bother finishing it off.

If you want to check it out I can setup a download for it. But it comes 'as is', without the editing part it's not very useful unless your looking for stats.

I noticed in Travis's youtube video some of the textures are different than what I see when I play the map.

Does anyone know why the textures would be different between the two?


If anyone is interested in trying out the Halloween version of the map to see what game play is like with spells Sandy's D 9 man mvm server[23.226.234.143:27015] has it available and can be voted in for loading.

That is simple S0da. I make my own textures for TF 2. 90 % of them are re-done. Mine are 24 bit high res. The weapons skins, I got from another website that I wont name because I am not sure about the rules about naming other websites.

Dang. I was hoping it was a pop file edit program. I wanted to get my community out and making pop files for the servers. I have made over 100 in the past year. Some of the guys have been using websites but the sites are always missing something that is key like one site dont add in the "where spawnnamehere" and I have to go back and edit all the pop files to add in that line

Well, its not ideal but it does the job for many: http://mvm.tf/

Even then, i still think that editing in notepad is better as it simply shows the information better. You just see the template and you already should know what you get while in such editor its too much down to visuals. But even then, his program might be ideal for you to see what you get, even if you used the web base editor.

Also to s0da72, you should ask the creator of that site to have your map in that list aswel. http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2920476 Asking it there should do enough. I got my map on his list the same way.

Ok, that would explain it. I noticed one other thing when you were looking down the death pit with the waterfall I noticed it had the purple checkered texture which I believe is an issue with how I'm building the map. Do you see that with both the normal version and Halloween version?

Maybe someday I'll finish it off, but currently I would rather be making maps with my free time rather than programming.

It does that to me on a few maps. It had something to do with reflections. I have to keep my reflections turned off or set to simple. What ever the lowest option is then that is what mine is set as.

Maybe I should use a different water texture so that doesn't show up.
