Hi,
I'm a player from the canardplus community, who's involved himself into the mapping exercise for a month now. While I have considered mapping years ago, it was the home production from our community players (ctf_rugby, c_cube) that convinced me to try the sdk.

With my first map being tested on our server, I can consider being pas the first steps. The many different classes of TF2 are quite a challenge to balance, but there is the fun. The greatest issue I may face in the near future are my taste for strange environnements (and the lack of proper models) and open spaces so harmful for optimization.

I hope to learn some good tricks around there and give them myself later :)

lol, glad to have you w/ us m8. There's a wonderful optimization link in our tutorial section. I've been using it since my Deathmatch days, and it's like the greatest thing ever. Put up your map for out next game day, I would love to give a run through :) Welcome to the group! And of course, if you have any quick questions, there's always someone in the Steam chatroom who can help.

I briefly described my map there but didn't give a link, since there are some slight graphical issues with areaportals. And I'm waiting for some gameplay reports from our server. Meanwhile, I'll give a look to that tutorial :cool1:

I must confess I'm already numbling with some new thoughts, a non A/D CPmap certainly, or a CCP one.
