Pit Test test3
THE END IS NEVER THE END IS NEVER THE END IS NEVER THE END IS NEVER THE END
What's the meaning of this??!? I thought Pit was DONE? It's final1 after all...
Hear me out,
I thought so too, but what started as a minor edit for my eventual-totally-working-on-it-I-promise custom developer commentary creation guide, morphed and mutated into a full fledged update for the map, complete with balance changes, detailing tweaks and additions, and some QoL improvements.
So why a separate download?
TF2 culls the version strings: _final & _final1 only
This is why despite the file name being pl_pit_final1, on menus, loading screens, and the scoreboards, it only displays PIT instead of the version string, so unless Valve decides to add more version string culling I'm left with only one option if I want to not have a version string on these screens, and that is the remove it completely.
This means that the next update will have to be the Last, the Final Final Final compile, the Ultimate Version, a version so Done that if I wanted to make another version I would have to rename to map to Pit2 or something. So I'm doing a seperate download where I can experiment and change things before I update the main branch with the changes for public release, also just in case anything goes wrong, I can rest assured that that I haven't pushed a broken version of the map with no version string
This is a temporary version of Pit that is near done, I made some balance changes so I want to test them before shipping the ultimate version of Pit.
