Medieval Battletal Beta 2 (BSP only)

This is the same file as from the zip upload version before this one, just without the bot navigation mesh.

  • Added castle at the central control point
  • Added balconies at team castles towards central area
  • Added gates to the castles
  • Added more ammo pickups
  • Added team-colored banners, flags and textures for team castle recognition
  • Added area portals
  • Added custom skybox variant of sky_alpinestorm01
  • Changed game mode to hybrid CTF-CP
  • Increased skeleton king spawn time to 12 minutes
  • Optimized visleafs and occluders
  • Tweaked lighting
  • Tweaked walkable areas on displacements
  • Fixed player clipping in the sky
  • Fixed print names for the control point using text from Dustbowl
  • Fixed incorrect team goal strings
  • Fixed unequal team respawn wave times

I'm curious to know if these changes make the map more fun to play on. The spell at the central control point is probably overpowered - we'll see.

The custom assets will be released within the next few weeks as a medieval props expansion pack.

Also, thinking about adding another entrance to the castles and making it non-medieval-mode, a bit more like 2fort.

  • Increased skeleton spawn interval duration so they spawn less frequently
  • Increased skeleton king life time from 45 to 60 seconds
  • Reduced normal skeleton count from 8 to 6 and life time from 150 to 120 seconds
  • Reduced final control point capture times from 9 to 8 seconds
  • Fixed health packs clipping through the floor
  • Fixed skeletons being able to get into spawn rooms
  • Fixed control points not being locked correctly during skeleton king spawn period
