Materials:
-
1 Party City Black Stovepipe Hat
- 1 white handkerchief
- Some toiler paper
- 1 normal paperclip
-
1 large triangle paper clip
- Black electrical tape
- A loose blade
-Scissors
- A black Sharpie
-Pliers (preferably needle-nose)
- Optional: 2 glow-stick necklaces
Instructions:
Using the loose blade, cut around the top edge of the hat, as shown in the picture (leaving a bit so that the top acts as a flap). Cut a small indent into the front of the new edge. Cut an indent in the middle side of the hat (as in on the right side of the picture), and pull and staple the hat together from the inside to get the a 'warped' effect. Cover the staples with black Sharpie. Bend the two halves of the triangle clip apart. Tape the triangle clip inside of the hat, making sure that the middle between the two halves is on the conjoining piece between the flap and the rest of the hat. ONLY tape the clip to the flap of the hat, NOT the bottom part. Staple the clip to the flap, and cover the staples with Sharpie. To make the ghost, wad up a bit of toilet paper into a ball, and cover it with the handkerchief. Rubber band the toilet paper into place. Cut the hanging-off parts of the handkerchief so they are fairly even. Stick a normal paper clip (straightened-out) straight-through the ghost. Bend the staple at the bottom of the ghost with pliers. Stick the top of the ghost onto the bottom of the flap via the staple, and bend the top of the paper clip over the top of the hat (leaving a bit of room below the flap for the ghost to shake). Cover the top of the staple with black Sharpie. Draw eyes onto the ghost with the Sharpie.
Optional: Tape 2 glow-stick necklaces wrapped-up to the inside of the hat.
Congrats! You have your very own IRL Ghastly Gibus!
