When updating, please delete the previous tf/custom/gungame_v* folder and update the _level_sounds.txt file.

Tying everything up. Namely, models, broken animations, random leftovers etc.
Fixed the client crash related to null-players on the scoreboard
  • Fixed the enormous server lag.
  • Added the header panel for your and the leader's scores.
  • Reverted bhop to mostly how it used to be (but kept the hud indicator).
  • Ragdolls are now colored after their player.
  • Code clean-up.
  • Fixed error spam in chat.
  • Market Gardens are now guaranteed to kill.
  • Assists are now less forgiving. They were intended to fix kill steals and not progress your weapons while you're dead.
  • Increase Double Donk damage by 50%, so that you could one-shot with a reasonably close Double Donk.
  • Refined bootleg bhopping.
  • Fixed heal-on-hit not working on Black Box and Blutsauger.
  • Fixed some explosive weapons not having gunboats effect.
  • Fixed some weapons not having proper reserve ammo.
  • Removed Medic's self-healing when using Medic weapons.

Updated animations for most weapons to be good enough.
Removed a few weapons for which I didn't have time to do so.
A new UI layout.
Reworked bhop hop-o-meter to not require constant space bar spam to maintain once built.
Viewmodels should be final-ish.

Completely revamped weapon progression:
  • Now featuring 31 weapons!
    • This includes Flamethrower, Phlogistinator, Dragon's Fury and Huntsman.
  • You need only 1 kill to get to the next weapon!
  • Assists count as kills!
  • All weapons reload 25% faster!

  • Fixed players facing a wall upon respawn.
  • Added alpha-versions of third-person animations. Still work-in-progress, but should be no A-posing.
  • Remade weapon viewmodel logic. There are still issues, but I'm working on it.
  • Rewritten custom character logic. Could be more bugs short-term, but will lead to stable work long-term.
  • Fixed damage numbers not appearing on the screen.
  • Reduced health back from 200 to 150.
  • Removed Flamethrower and Dragon's Fury (darn these things REALLY don't want to play along with friendly fire)
  • Fixed players facing walls upon spawning.

Important Hotfix:

  • Fixed the bug related to Strange Cosmetics leveling up (hopefully this time for sure).
  • Sadly this fix broke the TAB Scoreboard. Ignore it for now.
  • Fixed a major bug when the game tried to convert unassigned players (including SourceTV) to the Mercenary.
  • Fixed botkiller attachments not getting deleting when converting to the Merc.
  • Fixed longer than intended respawn times.
  • Fixed flames not working sometimes.
  • Fixed certain weapons not having enough reserve ammo (hopefully this time for sure).

  • Increased the Merc's health (150 -> 200).
  • The game now tries to spawn you at least 800hu away from other players (bumped from 500). If failed, repeat with the 500hu radius.
GunGame v7:
  • Fixed the bug related to Strange Cosmetics leveling up (hopefully).
  • Removed assists. Earn your progress like a Mann!
  • The game now tries to spawn you at least 500hu away from other players.

  • Take a break! Increased respawn time from 3 to 8 seconds.
  • You can no longer see the other players' Health.
  • Fixed players get stuck with the Sniper Rifles zoom after moving to the next weapon.
  • On-spawn invul wears off as you start moving.
  • Updated UI layout.

  • Added Flamethrower and Dragon's Fury!
  • Removed Huntsman (prob. temporarily).
  • Removed Sword & Shield combos (prob. temporarily).
  • Minor nerfs to the Crowbar.
  • Added Custom UI displaying your Current and Next Weapons.
  • Early weapons now require 2 kills to progress, while later require only 1.
  • Fixed the Merc A-posing with certain weapons.
  • Fixed scoreboard-related bugs.
  • "Last Weapon" keybind switches between your current weapon and the Crowbar.
  • Major code refactoring, so, I've lost track of what else has been changed.
