From testing it, I would suggest moving the spawn room into the center, to encourage people to use both the right and the left exits. At the moment, 90% of people go left because it's right there. But the right route (which leads to the sniper deck) is hardly ever used, which means I was finding a lot of opposing team members (mostly heavies) just camping the right buildings and our sniper deck.


It used to be in the center but people said move it to the side so its the same distance as the other side.

Change Log from RC1 to RC2

-Big fps boost.
-Added more lights in some areas of the map.
-Centered the door in the spawn.
-Changed the ammo pack from small to medium under the bridge.
-Added more detail to the outside area of the map.
-Fixed alignment on some textures.
-Removed the ramps around the control point so only demos/sollys can get up there now.
-Fixed a few other visual glitches as well.

IMO, the outside of the map doesn't need any more detail. It'd eventually contribute to the FPS hit and just wastes time that could be spent testing and mapping.

I just added a couple of displacements in the outside area, nothing too big that will kill the fps.

Hi. Just tried the map in my server today, and maybe cap speed is a bit too slow. With few people playing, it is hard to get the timers running.

First time I comment on a map, so take my impression with a huge grain of salt. =)



EDIT: Sorry for reviving this thread, as stevethepocket says, without the map's author, it is useless.

Just read through this thread and see for yourself. But to sum it up, he was repeatedly condescending and/or hostile towards the people who offered suggestions on how to improve his map. It's one thing to not accept criticism (although it flies in the face of what this site was created for), but the way he did it crossed a line.
