The Real Calamity - Infinite "stealth" MvM Mission

After GM's invasion, most of mercenaries were forced into small strongholds, with the ones having most power - Mannhattan and Rottenburg. Obviously, they became cultural and political center of "new life". After this, no wonder Gray wanted infilitrate these most.

25/07/2016, 14:34 local time. Mannhattan, NY.

It was largest collection of mercs Doe ever seen. From 2 scouts from Coaltown to his friend, sniper veteran Mundy - a lot of people came to Mannhattan on this day. Reason was simple - GM got the West Coast and they lost most info about his rotations.

- Please silence! - said Mikhail.
- I'm not going to sit here and look at your bald head, son! - shouted Jane. - It's problem of and for all of us. I just got message from Downtown.
- Downtown? Downtown... - the confusion was, indeed, real.
- Yes. The "forgotten" outpost. I didnt thought it will be that fast, but GM is at "Washington, DC" area.

The reaction was almost nuclear:
- That is a pile of non-sense!
- Impossible!
- ...yer arses arse and I'm the grass man...
- This sucks on ice.
- Ah... Piss!
- He is there, it's a fact! This is why I, Jane Doe, propose: send 6 best people to Downtown outpost, get all of... Australium out of there and hold it Downtown as much as we can.

Doe thought that it would be second boom, but it was much more quiet:
- But... how many is robots to fight?
- Sattelites can't detect - i told ya don't touch the darn thing! - answered Dell.
- I'll stick that wrench right up...
- TAVISH!
- Eh?
- Nothing personal, i just had to shut you up.
- Thanks... Spy. - said Mikhail and continued - So, we're sending 6 people to fight against unknown amount of robots.
- Best 6 people. I'm first. Anyone against? - Nobody? Great. Let's show these muffin-tops what the wrong end of a Rocket Launcher looks like!

The alarm was loud. Leftovers of Gray's army entered Bronx. Broken by best team in the world, it was easy to end GM's plan. In three days world will be clear. The Badlands are going to be restored. "Heroes never die!" was a new motto. Everybody knew who were Jane Doe, Dell Conagher, Tavish DeGroot, Mikhail...

Backstory TL;DR: 6 best warriors of post-MvM Badlands defended on Downtown (originally) from massive army of robots and saved the world (hopefully).

What is this?

Infinite mission, in which you dont see what enemies is coming! And it's randomized! <gimmicks to max power>

What help i need?

Well, when i said it's going to be randomised, i dont know yet between what i will actually randomize. That being said, you can help me. About 3 thousands of currrency on average on a player with quite decent difficulty threshold (adv-expert)
So, go wild with squad suggestions. If your squad will make into mission, your name will be in bots names!
For example : "Giant Rapid Fire Soldier [Nuke]"
Limitations:
  • Squads (both normals and giants) have size of 6. Not less, not more.
  • Giant squads have 1 or 2 giants in.
  • Also, gatebots are allowed, if you want for certain robot to be a gatebot, just don't forget to mark it somewhere.
  • If you suggested squad, it's probably going to be duplicated in both gatebot and not gatebot type unless some form of balancing issues.

ICON BUG INFO

Using RandomChoice between bunch of squads will spawn bots properly BUT hide all of their icons. Combining bugged squads/bots with not bugged might lead to horrible looking wave.

P.S. : Downtown location was never specified by an author, it was my idea. Please don't sue me.

Rapidfire Bowman in a squad with 5 bleed bowmen :cool:

maybe crit boost the rapidfire if you want to add a hint of Empire Escalation to it

Giant Burst Fire Demo that shoots Crossbow Bolts, and yes that does work.

- Added between spawns delay to make it much less spammy

- Decrased pause between subwaves, waves, and start on 1st wave from ~30 seconds to ~20 seconds
- Decreased amount of bots to make it feel less grindy

Oiii bois, we're out of beta/alpha.

- Added whole bunch of randomizations.
- Removed suffix of version.

At the current state, it's around advanced difficulty, possible with clutching to win waves with 4 people.

  • Fixed Mannhattan and Rottenburg
  • Mannhattan now split in Easy and Hard difficulty:
    • Easy = gate reset every wave
    • Hard = gate reset every 3 waves
    • Both have 3way version and central path one (_3w and _cp)
  • The barricade on Rottenburg now self-destructs upon 1st robots spawning
  • Bomb on Mannworks is now with timer (e.g. resetabble ironman one) and sometime forcefully reseted to spawning giant/normal squads

Have a squad of 2 Giant Soldiers both protected by 6 Airblast Pyros each. Basically to counter Soldiers and Level 3 Sentries. Maybe the Soldiers have a buff effect which would give the Pyros damage resistance. So they are weaker if the Soldier dies.

How about a squad of Heavies, each focused around one of the Seasons?
  • The Summer Heavy, with the Steel Jaw, the Summer Shades, and the Huo-Long Heater.
  • The Fall Heavy, with the Outdoorsman, the Apparatchik's Apparel, and the Tomislav.
  • The Winter Heavy, with the Merc's Muffler, the Magnificent Mongolian, and the Family Buisness.
  • The Spring Heavy, with the Weight Room Warmer, and the Eviction Notice.
