Long story short, I am looking for someone who can make one of those neat faux-update looking pages. I have been working on making my Sentry heatmaps available to the public and I am opening the doors to other communities who want to participate and I want to make the page look like it took more more than 30 minutes to make. Unfortunately I suck at anything but the most basic of layouts. If anyone wants to help me out with this, please let me know.

And as a side note, if you run a TF2 server and SourceMod and want to help participate in the project, go ahead and follow the link on that page and let me know. The more the merrier.

very nice, heatmaps are always interesting, though based on the rather sparse amount of data on most of your maps I assume your just starting the stats gathering?

Also very curious to find out how useful the sentry ones will actually be, as for an accurate deathmap you tend to need about 5000 samples. Regardless if you need any help gathering overlays I can join the work force on that.

Also, if you can find some way to get the servers to automatically send the logs to you, instead of you retrieving them you will get alot more people interested. As no one likes to give out ftp info to random people.

Actually I have been gathering this data for the better part of the year. For most of that time I was only gathering it from my community, F7Lans, and recently I have opened it up for people to apply to participate. F7 does not play a huge variety of maps so that's why some are sparse and some are not.

I use the overlays from the HLStatsX: CE database, since they are using a derivative of my Heatmap code. If you want to make some overlays and submit it to them that would be awesome, they always need more and that will trickle down to me and my site.

If you read the page, I say that the heatmaps use the past 5000 "hits" to generate the information, but obviously the more data the better. If I get a few more communities participating in this I can probably bump that up to 10k.

Also as I said, this is all done via SourceMod. I wrote a plugin that logs the Sentry data directly from the game server to my web server. No FTP info needed.

If you're nice, you could probably get Goerge of FPSBanana to install your plugin onto the FPSB servers, I know that they run a lot of stock maps and a few others, and are usually quite full.

nice, try talking to drpepper about our servers, especially since our heatmaps are having issues...cough cough. I happen to dislike hlstatx, so I have no real intention of updating their database. Though...my primary reasons for disliking them was the chat spam and the lack of heatmaps...so...who knows <_< Right now i have an overlay zip pack with coords for the recent contest maps that id love to get heatmap info on. Though they are completely untested as i don't have logs of my own to confirm the coords don't need to flipped at all to display properly.

sell me on hlstatsx being a better invisible stats tool then pychostats and i guess ill add them if they want tf2maps
    contest maps <_<
otherwise i can just link the zip

I don't really know anyone in the FPSB community so I don't know how well that would go over, haha! But if somebody knows him or can can get in touch with them for me I would be greatly appreciative.

    Will do, thanks.

Point him to this thread and I'd be happy to share.
