    Hey all. I am new to this site. I decided to begin working on a TF2 map.
    I could use some help playtesting it. Let me know if you could help out.

    Well I was told that there was already a map named ctf_valley so I have renamed this map ctf_furnace_b1.

    I have not gone and added all the fine detail and props yet as I am still working on the gameplay, after all that is the most important thing.

    I have done some major updating and am now to the point where I need to play test again.

    I could also use some help learning how to optimize. Thanks for your help.

    It looks good so far :D. My only suggestion is more detail to your 3d skybox. It looks kind of empty right now.

    first screenshot gave me a good feel but the rest feels realy empty, add some details, make some func_detail brushes etc etc...

    And the name under your screenshots takes the attention of the screenshot itself away so make it transparant or just dont do that its ugly.

    Thanks for the feedback guys. I have not added props or details yet, I plan on adding them after I get some good playtesting done. Next time I will tone down the title bar.;)

    as far as looks, the textures on your 3d skybox look...err...ugly. i supose you plan to fix it in the next version(say yes)

    as far as play, looks really fun!!!

    looks like its one of the few maps that has places for spys to hide/uncloak

    Yea, I am still looking to play test this. I can't really move forward with mapping unless I know the gameplay is pretty solid.

    Seemed to play quite well on our server.

    Got the following feedback:
    20:59:41 ( Blue) |kek| Seppuku : bad shadow flickering
    21:00:14 ( Blue) |kek| Seppuku : the top structures.. trees, towers etc

    Nice work.

    Thanks for the feedback. I was able to play if for a few hours and plan on changing the general structure a little. I will post the update soon.

    Ok I am finally done with my next public version of ctf_furnace.

    THIS MAP INCLUDEDS:

    • Tough to penetrate bases which require teamwork.
    • Custom created Nighttime skybox and nighttime lighting.
    • Dimmly lit underground tunnels.
    • Areas for every class.
