I had a brilliant idea for a gravel pit style capture point map. Red team will be defending their secret underground lair from the blue invaders. I think it will be over-the-top enough to be considered a real TF2 map in its hilarity, and should be fairly straightforward in gameplay. The general layout is like this:
And here are the sketches of each room of interest: I'll start detailing the connecting hallways between the rooms next, and then go in hammer and start on basic brushwork.
Indeed, block it out with the developer textures and get some screens up. screens are always better for commenting on layout than ms paint drawings Sounds like a good idea. :thumbup1:
