[WiP] CP_Hatchery

    I've been tossed back and forth between work, the wife and general life.. But progress is being made on my map.

    I still have a dozen or so uncompleted custom models, but im waiting till I get the lighting/texturing of the map down before I further them so they fit.

    Alot of texturing is still up in the air, I'm just laying down the groundwork to get an idea of how it will eventually look.

    Still early on, but thought I better put somethin on here to show that all your assistance over the weeks isnt going to a blank canvas.

    The floor trim around the ceilings is kind of weird at first, but I dunno...I kinda like it. I feel you should definitely take it off the ceiling portion where the pipes go into in the 1st pic. Doesn't fit there, but the regular walls are good for it.

    I'm not sure you need so many light props in the second pic, delete the ones closest to the wall? Or allign them symmetrically to the ceiling of the room.

    Edit: additionally, angle those awnings and use wires with minimal slack to simulate them holding them up. I think it would look better that way. :)

    Very good start :) Couple questions though; Where did you get the fish? Also, how did you add water to the circle container in pic 5? I have something similar, but my water indices is at 97% :(

    Thanks for the replies,

    Floor trim, yea its gonna be changed when i do my final pass through ,

    lighting props, i kinda like em, it is busy w/ lights hehe.


    and Immotal-D , not sure what you mean, but i dont recall it causing me any problems, i'd be happy to send you the water brushwork/entities if you like

    Oh Yea, I got the fish in there , by modeling them and importing them as animated props

    the textures on them are screwed up, they are actually showing the Specular maps as diffuse maps , its my fault for overwriting a vtf file accidentally, but havnt bothered to fix it yet.
