Which gamemode is grossly underdeveloped?

    I'm wondering about starting a new map after the break i took and I don't want to pick another gamemode that will just add an extra one to the pile (like pl) without a good reason.

    So here's my question to you: which game mode do you think I should map for next?

    A/D Dustbowl style.
    Pretty rare to see one of those modes.

    TC is also pretty rare, but you already made one I think.

    CP A/D Dustbowl style because so few are made and its really fun. However, TC is even less common but its stalemate heaven. A/D TC anyone?

    Orange_ = yes! I'd love to do an orange map just for the lolz but justno

    A/D dustbowl = I'd be learning from mistakes made in bloodstained heh. that map is so bad D: I have to say it is a very tempting mode, and criminally under developed.

    For those interested I ditched strata due to overwhelming amounts of overwhelment and the feeling that I'd not actually fixed any of the problems I wanted to with hydro.. I'd just turned it into a map of corridors.

    I vote Arena. Nucleus obviously was a hit, and harvest doesn't seem all that bad either. The good thing is you can even just have the map be symmetrical (pretty much a must for Arena even).
    You also won't have any problems with instant respawn, 24/7 servers.

    The only problem is that not a lot of people play Arena, and that every prop counts a lot more than on normal maps.

    KOTH in preparation of the new update :p

    But otherwise, perhaps a/d dustbowl style, not many great ones of those that arent sentry farms with red winning 75% of the time cough *egypt* .

    Or try TC again, I reckon a real good TC map will have the most chance of getting in an update/ at least played a fair bit. Meridian doesn't seem to be too popular-even though its awesome :(

    Attack/Defend CP - Seriously uncommon. It's hard to find one to play, and when you do find one, it's either a horrible map, or you accidentally clicked "Dustbowl."

    I understand why people want a TC map, but TC works less for TF2 the CTF does. Problem with TC is it's very hard to design the map without becoming 4 control points with 4 corridors linking them together. Most other designs will have trouble being split into 4 quadrants

    I want to see what will happen if you do a 5cp map. I might be wrong but so far all your released maps were some form of A&D correct? I'd love to see what you could do for a 5cp map.

    I voted A/D Dustbowl style because, as Void said, no really good custom ones exist. My second choice would be Arena, if you could do something awesome (which you would no doubt), but it would most likely just get lost in the oversize pile of crappy Arena maps that already exist.

    Despite you having just made Furnace, I believe that's still the most underdeveloped type.

    I actualy would have said territorial payload but i tried to make a proof of concept of that and discovered a fatal issue in that. Payload races make use of the CP groups setting (0 means its the top bar, 1 is the bottom one)... TC maps cant handle those. Unless you can get valve to change that it means there wont be any TPL (or whatever tag you can make for it) maps.

    Its the only thing that makes such maps fail as for the rest i succeeded in making it (i did get a territorial payload race but the hud bugged it)!

    Anyway, as TC is made the least ammount of times you should make one. Even if its not a payload one.

    And dont say no to custom gamemodes. if they are clear and basic then they are fine, and if the hud is possible without any problems whats the problem then?

    I voted a/d CP (Dustbowl) cos I don't know of any customs out there that I can name off by heart. ('cept Egypt, but it's been released by Valve so...) also, I'm making one so I could use some competition hehe.
