What do you like the most on making a Map?

    Theory is my favorite part. Not just map theory, overall gameplay theory, and it's uses.

    Aww, I was gonna make a thread like this

    Clipping, particularly stairs, is weirdly fun. Modelling displacements is also cool, sadly I don't generally enjoy the other aspects, I think I've been spoiled by Doom Builder :T

    for me (so far. this will most likely change in the future.) its making the first version. the A1. the idea for the map. thinking up the layout and abit of the theme. and putting it down, in the editor!

    watching people get ground up in your central point on A1! also getting your map tested is nice too...

    Making something enjoyable and playing it with other people. But if we are talking about the technicalities involved, I'd say planning the layout.

    Honestly, my favorite part of making a map is just planning it out, and watching ideas slowly come together! ^w^
    I personally don't like designing the general bulk layout of a map, but it's usually worth it in the end. I do enjoy detailing quite a bit, (when I manage to get that far :p)

    Detailling for sure and making sure you won't have 30 fps. Making cool architecture too but I don't really like making the A1 of a map, probably why I'm not making new map since 2012. I have a lot of trouble putting my ideas on an empty space (even at work)

    Still working on the A1 of the connect 5 (taking so long I would be ashamed if it's sheet)
