Weird ingame error

    Hello, when I compile my map and play the textures flicker between visible and invisible when I walk around. I don't know why really, I thought it was too much brushes or props in a certain area at first. But when I deleted some (more than there were BEFORE this happend) it still kept happening.

    Anyone has had this before?

    Mnah, no model texture (its not the brightness flickering) or leaks (I didn't place it anywhere near the boundries of the skybox). It's really that invisible/visible thing. The invisible parts are not stationary, other textures switch between invis/vis when you move around.

    This is how it looks, which is obviously wrong:

    To be more accurate, its the brushes and props.. not just the textures I'm afraid (although I can't move through the brushes when they are invisible)

    what entity are you using for your detail brushes?
    also, did you put in areaportals or something?

    Mm no areaportals. Uhm, Im using prop_static's and overlays. (Not sure which one you meant)

    there are 2 vertical strips of wall sticking out a bit. are those func_detail? func_brush? normal brushes?

    looks to my like the engine does not know what to render when it seems. you don't happen to suffer from very long compile times (more then 45 mins)

    not much more I can guess at, Im guessing you are not willingly to put up vmf from at least a part of the map that shows this?

    how about a copy of your compile log

    I'll uploaded the VMF for you. I dont mind, it's a map I'm making for the fun of it for some friends. Did have alot of fun making it though, so I rather like to finish it.
