Water not working and Full bright

So, I Just started making my second map. now, I wanted to try something new, so I added some water. however when I attempted a compile the water didn't properly load and the level was full bright. I have checked for leaks and tried multiple water textures. I have lights in the map which also don't work.

The specified procedure could not be found.

vrad_launcher error: can't load vrad_dll.dll
Try validating your game files.
Right click TF2 -> Properties -> Local Files -> Verify integrity of game files
make sure hammer and tf2 are not running before doing this.

ok, tried this, first time 1 wasn't, got that fixed. didn't work. I tried it again fully validated, didn't work.

Common error. Install c runtime libraries at random until stuff works again.

tried messing arounds solution, no dice. henke37 can you please explain this further? or is there a different thread on it?

Yeah, only the top surface render gets borked.

Anyway, there are more people on this forum (and for other Source games) that had the vrad.dll missing error. There was a rather big thread on this forum with multiple people with the same issue. 1 hr download time, what fun. also how should I reinstall hammer? do I need to have it closed during uninstall?
Full reinstall didn't work. any other options?

ok, so ive tried all suggested options, and this is really slowing down the process of making my map. is there anything else I can try?

What if you were to download a independent file of vvis.dll and vrad.dll and place it where it should be at?

I also found a reddit post where they found a Steam Community post that said "Try to reinstall Redistributable Package for Visual Studio 2015 x86 and x64 https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145" and that supposedly worked.
already tried this. rip
where would I find the other files on my computer? I should be able to re verify integrity after I remove them.
EDIT: /\ doesn't work. fudge. after deletion and reverification they are still broken.

You could just use the file search feature in your file browser to find them (assuming you have Windows, IDK if it works on Macs).

Everything seems fine, but you didn't run RAD. Water only works with both RAD and VVIS.
