    It sure would be nice if this update also didn't cause my entire computer to lock up, making it pretty much impossible for me to actually play the game.

    Got a reply back from Eric Smith, said they'll get the point_teleport sorted out.

    Also, Doublecross is missing SetStalemateOnTimelimit... so it doesn't end on mp_timelimit :(

    As expected the extra "weapon" was not a weapon at all, and probably would have been more dynamic for the demo (as already stated), despite the fact that i wanted soldier to win (under the pretence it would improve his dynamic playable function, which it does not really do at all).

    Interesting i suppose.

    Personally I think the soldier is better off with it.
    The reason being that the Demoman already has two competing weapons for his second slot, which means there will be more variety in demo player tactics in the update. The soldier, on the other hand, got a straight "one, two, three" weapon replacement, so the boots add a bit of choice to the other side as well.

    Although I guess it now makes it even worse that demos have a larger health penalty for sticky jumping and less health than the soldier. Which will be compounded with the health-reduction of the Eyelander... oii. XD

    Second slot has sticky bombs. That's what the demoman uses to jump. If he had gotten the boots they obviously would be in a different slot... probably in place of grenades.

    Damn, people are having problems with the items everywhere. I got my demo ones randomly about half an hour after I finished the achievements... and I still have yet to get my pickaxe and bugle.

    Crafting though is interesting, however now I wish to idle even more because of it. :/

    I think the biggest letdown though is the new maps... ctf_doublecross looks nice and plays decently, for a ctf map. However cp_gorge is just disappointing... it's like they started an assault cp map and gave up after the first stage.

    That should have nothing to do with it martijntje, people were only doing that to find less trafficked servers to download from during the release.

    I think it's better that the soldier got it, soldiers revolve around rocket-jumping more than the demo. Or rather, do it more often.

    They do it more often because they can do it more often, as they have more health and take less damage. They didn't need those boots anywhere near as much as the demo did.

    Yea, however I think its a bad thing to have in the game in general, kind of fudges the balance of jumps in general. :/

    True, classes recieved damage proportional to that they delt, which is in my opinion fair. Even though I think the demo could have used the boots for equalities sake as well as to present him with more options.
