    Help!

Whenever I try to run VVIS and some of the time when I run VRAD, my computer crashes! It doesn't BSOD or anything, it just goes from running to being turned off, no lock up or anything.

Does anyone have any idea what could cause this?!

While that does look pretty cool and I think I would like to use it... It unfortunately my computer still crashes, and it seems to be on the same part in VVIS when it is creating based on the portal view, right before it would get to 2 on the list. I can't test now, but I think I will check if it is just my map or all of them.

So, I tested using one of the valve maps and I still get the crash, so I don't think that this is because of my map. Any ideas of what could cause this? Or am I just looking blind?

sounds like a computer issue either something is overheating or your MB/powersupply are failing when it loads up fully.

Compiling maps will hold your CPU at 100% for long periods of time so it is quite possible that it over heats. Even in winter my CPU will be at abut 40 degrees while compiling - with a decent cooler.
