VRAD fails because it can't find STOCK models

    When I try to compile my map, VRAD fails because it can't find any of the models used. The rest of the map compiles normally, though when it runs the map it is full bright.

    At first I thought it was custom props, but then I noticed some stock props were also not being found as well. All the models appear in Hammer, in the model browser and in game, but none of the map is lit at all.

    Does anyone know how to fix this? It could be related to the problem I had yesterday, but honestly I don't know.

    Now, I'm no expert in mapping, but it looks like this might be a problem too.

    Should still work (https://tf2maps.net/threads/occluder-straddles-multiple-areas-this-is-invalid.7805/) but nonetheless should probably remove those then do a normal compile. Then if that don’t work try relocating the assets or using only stock props.

    Yeah should have said I was getting those errors before and the map compiled just fine. Now it fails to fine the models.

    Update: Seeing as my previous issue was sorta fixed itself after a patch and there was another patch last night, I gave it another test compile to see if it is fixed.

    Unfortunately it is not. Same results, it can't find any of the models, even the stock ones.

    Have you tried verifying game cache? That fixes 95% of all missing-content-related errors

    Yeah I have. Nothings missing. All the models show up in Hammer, in the model browser and in game. It's only during compiling that they suddenly go 'missing'

    The occluder issue is safe to ignore, not sure about the rest though.

    Yes I was safely ignoring that, I had been able to compile before with everything working.

    I've just looked in my 'team fortress 2/bin' folder and found these files that match up for when I've been trying to compile.

    I can't open them with Notepad++, any idea what they are or how to read them?

    Also reason I was in that folder was so I could take a backup of my 'CmdSeq.wc' file (the one that saves your compile settings) ahead of verifying my game again because no harm in trying again, and now I'm getting the same error I had previously:

    Those are minidumps. They contain the essential memory and register data that a debugger would most likely need. Unless you are sitting on the source code and symbol database for the tools, it's useless junk to you.
