Virus(?)

So, I was downloading Source SDK today to run Valve Batch Compiler Tool(I usually run Hammer from TF2's bin folder) and Avast blocked some suspect file. Is it a virus or am I being stupid because Steam is a trusted service?

It isn't a virus, just a false positive.

Unless the executables have actually been corrupted by an actual virus, in which case yeah, you're running risks.
I think we can trust Steam itself to have no malware.

Simply add it to Avast's "exceptions" list.
