NOT 2fort_vesuvius, my map is called vesuvius also. NOT A MAP MOD.
Basically, its a ctf map, with two linear buildings (red/blu of course.) With a bridge over a lava river.

Im trying to add more detail, but its not going too well, If i can, i will add a volcano in the background, to give it more feel. Maybe add falling ash.

To those ideas, which do you guys think? Got any volcano models i can have? :D

If you barely have any detail, it doesn't qualify as a release candidate, or a beta for that matter. At least you didn't select final.

I downloaded it. If its your first map, then its a good start.
You have a few missing textures (show up to me as b/w checkerboard).
Also, generally, you dont want to stretch textures out to fit the brush face. It looks like you just chose the "fit" option on the texture tool. The textures' sizes also aren't consistent. Some of your walls have huge stretched out bricks and others are default 0.25 size.

ah. Well, i had hoped i had compiled the map with the textures included, but obviously, didn't work.

I used pakrat, and i followed the instructions, but to no avail.

Let me guess which texture it was, the lava, right?

    And....ok, so no stretching.

Be back soon with the pics, i hope, like today.

No - the lava texture worked. It was in the intel room - some rectangle (maybe a sign?). Plus, there were really small squares (like a 4x4 unit square) throughout the map that showed up as b/w checkerboard.
